Day 01: Kolkata Airport / Rly. Station – City Hotel

On arrival at Kolkata Airport or at the Railway Station, you will be met and escorted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. You may spend the rest of the day at leisure.

You could either relax in your hotel room or explore Kolkata at your own pace.

Enjoy an overnight stay in your hotel in Kolkata to prepare for the adventures awaiting you in this historic city.

Day 02: Kolkata – Shantiniketan (210 kms / 4 hrs)

Journey to Shantiniketan

After breakfast, proceed to Shantiniketan, which is about 210 km from Kolkata, a journey of approximately four hours. This place was established in the year 1901 by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore. Here, nature has been balanced with the harmony of human beings.

Have dinner at your hotel and make time to get familiarized with the locality. You will have a free day for independent activity. Explore the environment with a visit to the numerous local places of interest within this cultural haven of sheer beauty.

Day 03: Shantiniketan Sightseeing

  • Travelling to Shantiniketan

    Have a full day's tour around Shantiniketan after taking your breakfast in your hotel.

    Visit peaceful Kopai and Khoai Rivers. See the scenic beauty and peaceful surroundings along with them. Then head on to Amar Kutir. A center of handicrafts that is renowned for its best local crafts and products.

    Next, you can pay a visit to the Visva-Bharati University campus. Founded by Rabindranath Tagore, the great poet himself, this institution represents the principles behind his education and culture ideology.

    Continue the sightseeing at the Uttarayan Complex, which houses the residence of Tagore along with other important buildings. Definitely, do not miss the Art Gallery and Museum, as they abound with the great artistic culture of the region.

Day 04: Shantiniketan - Bishnupur (190 kms / 4 hrs)

    Checkout from hotel after breakfast, and enjoy a picturesque drive to Bishnupur that is about 190 kilometres away and will take you four hours.

    Reach Bishnupur and check into your hotel for some rest and acclimatization. The remaining day is at leisure, and you can do anything you wish. Relax in your hotel or visit the surroundings, or soak up the atmosphere of this historic town.

    It is now time to spend an overnight stay at your hotel in Bishnupur to prepare yourself for exciting experiences awaiting you in this cultural hub.

Day 05: Bishnupur Sightseeing - Kolkata (170 / kms 4 hrs)

  • After your breakfast, check out from your hotels and start exploring Bishnupur, where you can see some wonderful terracotta temples and visit the famous Madanmohan Temple, the Chhinnamasta Temple, and Dalmadal Kaman, that have unique craftsmanship and designs that characterize these old establishments.

    While at Bishnupur, do not forget to shop for the legendary Sarnachuri and Baluchuri Sarees with their gorgeous designs and excellent work. Once you feel you have absorbed enough local culture, start driving back to Kolkata, which is about 170 kilometers away, and will take four hours. On your arrival in Kolkata, check into your hotel.

Day 06: Kolkata City Tour

After that, visit Belur Math—the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Mission, an abode of serenity and beauty. Then, visit the Dakshineswar Temple that offers worship to Goddess Kali, the sacred feel one will obtain from inside, then GPO or Writers' Building which features the colonial structures.

    While taking time within the atmosphere at the Eden Gardens Stadium, this was also known to be considered the world's most famous stadium of cricket games. St. Paul's Cathedral Church: Gorgeous gothic architecture. Victoria Memorial Hall: It is a colossal monument that houses a museum presenting history of Kolkata.
