Why Delhi Spiti Winter Motorbike Expeition?
Prepare for an exhilarating journey on the Spiti Valley Bike Tour, starting from Manali and passing through Kaza. The route takes you over the Rohtang Pass and Kunzum Pass, with pit stops at eatery points like Chatru, Batal, and Losar.
Every biker dreams of conquering the Himalayas, and the lush landscapes, snow-capped mountains, and rugged terrain will surely fuel your adrenaline. While the Manali to Leh Ladakh route is well-known among bikers, the Spiti Valley tour offers a unique adventure that's equally captivating.
Lahaul Spiti, one of the largest districts in Himachal Pradesh, boasts stunning beauty that feels almost surreal, making it a must-visit destination for any biking enthusiast.

Day 01: Arrival in New Delhi
Arrival in New Delhi
Orientation and Preparation:
Arrive in New Delhi on your own. You will be briefed on what to pack for your vacation, allowing anyone who has missed out on purchasing items to finish their shopping.
Bike Assignment:
The bike will be assigned to you, and you will have the opportunity to inspect it for any small flaws or difficulties. If you find any, the mechanic can remedy them straight away.

Day 02: New Delhi – Shimla (350 Kms/09 Hrs)
Trip Departure
Journey to Shimla:
Reach the meeting point in time to embark on this trip. The first half of the journey is pretty smooth as NH1 is very well-maintained. Mid-way through the day’s ride, you’ll bypass Chandigarh and drive uphill to Shimla. With every twist, you’ll see the scenic Shivalik Range of the Himalayas from a different angle.
Arrival and Evening Leisure:
Reach your pre-booked summer capital accommodation in Himachal Pradesh. Later, go for a walk down the bustling Mall Road. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Shimla- Sangla/Chitkul (240 Kms/09 Hrs)

Trek to Ali Bugyal
We start early today to enjoy the best views. There is a brief climb to the ridge of Ali Bugyal. Once we reach the ridge, the trek becomes fairly easy, featuring long sections of flat walking or gradual ascent. We will stroll through Ali Bugyal, with mountains visible on both sides in the distance.
You will discover that these meadows are among the best in the country. As you walk through Ali Bugyal, Nanga Ghunti and Trishuli are prominently visible to the east. We’ll take it easy today with frequent halts, allowing ample time for photography. Our campsite for the day is located in a forested area between Ali and Bedni Bugyal, also known as Abin Kharak or Khobal Tal.

Day 04: Sangla/Chitkul – Nako (150 Kms/05 Hrs)

Trek to Nako Settlement
Today's ride is sure to be exciting. Before beginning your journey to Nako settlement, the largest settlement in Hangrang Valley, stop for a nice breakfast at your hotel or homestay. This lovely village is located at an elevation of 3,625 meters and is surrounded by Himachal Pradesh's tallest peak, Reo Purgyal.
We should arrive at our destination in the afternoon. After relaxing for a while, you can visit Nako Lake and the thousand-year-old Nako Monastery. The entire hamlet is full of lovely landmarks, so we'll try to see as many as possible. Stay overnight at a guesthouse or homestay.

Day 05: Nako to Kaza (110km/3-4 Hrs)

Journey to Kaza
Early morning start for Kaza. Today's ride will be a long one and full of adventure as it takes you through one of the most scenic routes Himachal Pradesh has. After about four hours of riding, you will reach the sub-divisional headquarters of Spiti Valley at Kaza, which also happens to be the biggest town in the region. Kaza is a middle point for those entering the valley, either from Shimla or Manali. It is a scenic delight with high mountain ridges on all sides and high-altitude flora and fauna.
The town is peaceful and surrounded by a serene atmosphere, which further divides into old and new. An ancient monastery exists at the outskirts of the city where you can go and explore the surroundings for the entire day. Stay overnight in a homestay.

Day 06: Kaza Exploration

Exploring Kaza
After a leisurely breakfast, head out on your bike to enjoy Kaza's breathtaking splendor. Visit tourist attractions such as the Key Gompa Monastery, which is tucked between the mountains in a bowl-shaped valley in the little settlement of Langza, at a remarkable elevation of 4,420 meters above sea level.
This village is regarded as one of the highest motorable settlements in the world. Another famous site is Hikkim, a small settlement in the Spiti area near Kaza. Hikkim is one of the highest year-round inhabited areas in India. Later on, you can explore the Kaza market. Stay overnight at the homestay.

Day 07: Kaza to Kalpa (200kms/07 Hrs)

Journey to Sangla Valley
After a leisurely breakfast, we set out for Sangla Valley. Begin by biking towards Reckong Peo, Kinnaur's headquarters. A few more hours of cycling will lead you to Kalpa, a stunning site overlooking Kinner Kailash Mountain.
Kinnaur is well-known for its apple orchards. Later, spend some time exploring the nearby region. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 08: Kalpa to Narkanda/Shimla (150kms/6 Hrs)
Journey to Narkanda
Breakfast and Departure:
Have breakfast at the hotel before leaving the rural region of Kinnaur. Today’s trip will be reasonably comfortable as we head to Narkanda/Shimla.
Arrival in Narkanda:
Narkanda, often known as the **Gateway.

Day 09: Narkanda/Shimla to Delhi (390km/09 Hrs)

Final Day of Spiti Bike Trip
Today is the final day of this very exhilarating and adventurous Spiti Bike Trip, as you return from Narkanda to Delhi. Although it is one of the expedition's longest rides, the roads are in good shape, thus it takes less time. While the journey may come to an end, the memories will remain with you for the rest of your life.
You will be dropped off at Delhi, from where you can continue your journey.
