ENCHANTING KERALA
Why Enchanting Kerala?
Munnar, the famed hill station of south India, is a romantic locale where natural beauty is everywhere to visit, explore and to enjoy. The backwaters of Kerala are a network of 1500 km-long canal both man-made and natural, 38 silent rivers and 5 big lakes extending from one end of Kerala to the other. The backwaters have a unique ecosystem - freshwater from the rivers meets the seawater from the Arabian Sea. In the middle of the waterways, there are many hidden islands, towns and cities to visit and have lifetime experience.

Day 01: Arrive Kochi
Arrival in Kochi
On reaching Kochi International Airport by evening you are greeted on arrival by our representative assisting in your transfer to the Hotel, check into hotel with refreshen up and depart for the cultural tour of Kochi.
Cultural Tour of Kochi
This palace would be the first place to visit; this palace is famous for the attractive Kerala murals, various historical relics. It would close on Fridays. There follows a visit to the ancient Jewish Synagogue—that’s also known as “Paradesi Synagogue,” closed on Fridays and Saturdays—as well as a stroll on famous Jewish Street lined by numerous boutiques and stores. You will also visit St. Francis Church, one of the oldest European churches in India, built in 1503. It is of great historical significance because this is the actual burial site of Vasco da Gama (note: closed on Sundays).
You’ll finally experience being at the Chinese Fishing Nets, massive traditional fishing structures that locals still operate; it is a very popular landmark for those who visit Kochi. Spend the day exploring the city’s historic and cultural treasures after which you return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cochin.
Day 02: Kochi-Munnar (127 Kms/04 Hrs)
Trip to Munnar
Leave for a delicious breakfast and then checkout from the hotel. Then drive to Munnar, which is 127 kms away, a 4-hour journey via scenic route. Overnight at the hotel after check-in.
Explore Munnar
If you are free, use the time to enjoy the views of Munnar or its vicinity—the locale’s famous scenery and tea plantations. Otherwise, you may enjoy this serene hill station either during the day or just relax during your vacation.
About Munnar
Munnar is situated 1,600 meters above sea level, where three mountain streams meet: Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundale. This was the summer resort chosen by the British government in South India, famous for its panoramic views and refreshing climatic conditions. Spend the evening either exploring or relaxing. Day 03: Munnar Sightseeing

Day in Munnar
Following a heavenly breakfast, get set for a great day of local sight-seeing in Munnar. Get ready to visit Mattupetty Dam, the powerhouse that gives way to a rich variety of wildlife. Your next visit will be to Kundale Lake, known for its captivating cherry gardens and the rare Neela Kurunji flowers, which bloom once every twelve years.
Proceed to Echo Point with excellent scenic views and a natural phenomenon of echo. Next, head to Rajamalai to see the rarest endangered Nilgiri Tahr in its natural habitat. Also, visit the Eravikulam National Park, covering an area of 97 km² under the Western Ghats, acclaimed for the rich biodiversity of flora and fauna. After a day of appreciating nature's own artistry, enjoy an overnight stay at your Munnar hotel.
Day 04: Munnar-Thekkady (96 Kms/03 Hrs)

Day in Thekkady
After having your breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed on a scenic drive to Thekkady, which is about 96 kilometers and would take you about three hours. You will check in at the hotel and relax. Depending on the time, you can continue for local sightseeing or enjoy the whole day doing personal activities or just relaxing in the serene ambiance of Thekkady.
One of the world's most interesting wildlife sanctuaries is located in Thekkady. Spreading over 777 sq. km, with 360 sq. km being under dense evergreen forests, the sanctuary boasts remarkable geomorphology, rich biodiversity, and great natural beauty. Declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978, it offers opportunities to witness a variety of wildlife. During your touring options, you could venture into the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary or visit a Spice Plantation to understand how Kerala became famous for certain spices. You can retire to your hotel for an overnight stay in Thekkady once the excitement and exploration are over for the day.
Day 05: Thekkady-Alleppey (150 Kms/04 Hrs

Day in Alleppey
After a hearty breakfast, check out from the hotel and move to Alleppey. Alleppey is about 150 kilometers from the hotel, taking almost four hours to reach. Upon arrival, check into your houseboat for an unforgettable experience.
Witness the stunning sceneries surrounding you as you pass along the serene backwaters. Observe traditional Chinese fishing nets, lush paddy fields, local artisans creating coir products, charming rustic homes, ancient temples, and swaying coconut groves—a vibrant slice of life along the waterways. Enjoy the opportunity to savor delicious meals onboard amidst the peaceful ambiance of the backwaters. Exploration and relaxation are planned for the next morning, after which you will spend a night on the houseboat, drifting into a peaceful slumber on its gentle waters.
Day 06: Alleppey-Kovalam (160 Kms/04 Hrs)

Day at Kovalam
After breakfast, you'll leave the houseboat and drive to Kovalam, a distance of 160 Kms that will take about four hours. On arrival, you check into your hotel and rest for some time.
If you have some spare time, you can spend it exploring the local attractions in Kovalam. This is a very beautiful seashore resort with three crescent-shaped beaches. It was one of the favorite tourist spots since the 1930s. Here you can indulge in sunbathing, swimming, herbal massages, cultural programs, and catamaran cruising.
You might want to visit Kuthira Maligai Palace and Thiruvananthapuram Zoo, but do not miss the Art Gallery, which is closed on Mondays, before going to Padmanabha Swami Temple in the evening. End the day with full sun and tourism, and return to your hotel in Kovalam for an overnight stay.
Day 07: Kovalam-Kanyakumari-Kovalam (80 Kms/2.5 Hrs)

Day in Kanyakumari
After breakfast, move to Kanyakumari—80 KMs away—it will take around 2.5 hours. It is the southernmost tip of India where the Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea, and Indian Ocean meet. Pay a visit to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial—a monument for the great philosopher Swami Vivekananda. It provides a panoramic view of the surrounding waters.
The next day, visit the Kanyakumari Devi Temple, dedicated to goddess Kanyakumari. Observe the finer details of its architecture. Kanyakumari is also very famous for the great sunset. Even during the full moon, you would be able to experience a sunset and a moonrise together.
After the busy day of experiences and tours, return to Kovalam and stay overnight at your hotel.
Day 08: Trivandrum Airport drop
Visit to Padmanabha Swami Temple
After breakfast, head to witness the Padmanabha Swami Temple in Thiruvananthapuram. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, this stunning temple showcases its characteristic style of Chera and Dravidian architecture within towering walls and an impressive gopura or tower designed in the 16th century. Though the original seat for the deity rests in Ananthapura Temple, Kasaragod, the Padmanabha Swami Temple closely resembles the Adikesava Perumal Temple in Thiruvattar.
Departure:
They will drop you back at the hotel to collect your baggage. Then, you will take off in an air-conditioned vehicle to Trivandrum International Airport, where you would be dropped and advised to reach the airport three hours before your international flight.
