Day 01: Guwahati Airport / Rly station – Bhalukpong (255 Kms / 6 hrs.)
Arrival in Guwahati and Transfer to Bhalukpong
Meet and Greet
Meet and greet on arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station and transfer to Bhalukpong.
Check-In and Leisure Time
On arrival, check in to the hotel. Evening is free for leisure.
Overnight stay at Bhalukpong.
Day 02: Bhalukpong – Dirang (140 kms / 7 hrs.)
Journey to Dirang
Early Breakfast and Departure
After early breakfast, drive to Dirang. On the way, visit Tipi Orchidarium, situated on the banks of the river Bharali. This place has over 500 orchids on display, including some rare species. Arunachal has the largest range of orchids in the country.
Enroute Visits
Take a break to visit Nag Temple. Continue your drive and do not forget to keep your cameras handy as you cross beautiful waterfalls and enjoy some spectacular views.
Arrival in Dirang
Arrive in Dirang, check into the hotel. Visit Apple Orchard & Kiwi Farm (depending upon season), Dirang Monastery, & Kalachakra Monastery. Dirang is also famous for hot water springs where people take baths to cure skin ailments.
Overnight stay at Dirang.
Note
All Indian tourists who intend to visit Arunachal Pradesh need to obtain an Inner Line Permit at the Bhalukpong border before entering the state, against submission of a photo identity card and two copies of passport size photographs.
Day 03: Dirang – Tawang (130 kms / 7 hrs.)

Journey to Tawang
Breakfast
After early breakfast, proceed to Tawang, the Land of Hidden Paradise.
Sela Pass
On the way, enjoy the beauty of Sela Pass (13700 Ft), a border line between two districts, Tawang and West Kameng. Visit Sela Lake, a small lake that remains frozen for most of the year.
Jaswantgarh War Memorial
Further drive for 10 kms to visit Jaswantgarh War Memorial—a tribute to the brave soldier who single-handedly tried to hold off the approaching Chinese during the 1962 Indo-Chinese War.
Nuranng Falls
Later, visit the majesty of Nuranng Falls, where scenes from the SRK-Madhuri Dixit starrer "Koyla" were shot.
Arrival in Tawang
Arrive and check in to your hotel. The evening is free for leisure. Enjoy your overnight stay at Tawang.
Day 04: Tawang Local Sightseeing

Exploring Tawang
Tawang Monastery
Visit the world's famous seventeenth-century Tawang Monastery, also known as Galden Namgyal Lhatse, which oversees the wide Tawang Valley at a height of 10,000 ft. The monastery is a vast complex of 65 buildings housing Lamas and antique scriptures written in gold letters, as well as ancient scripture images, and features an eight-meter-high gilded Buddha statue. This is the largest monastery in the Himalayan region and the second oldest in Asia.
Urgeling Gompa
Later, visit Urgeling Gompa, the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama, who is the only Indian to have risen to such a high position in the Gelugpa Sect of Buddhism so far.
Craft Centre
In Tawang, you can also visit a craft centre selling beautiful masks, handwoven carpets, jewellery in silver, coral, and amber, 'chubas'—the local dress—and delightful affordable mementos.
Evening Free
The evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Tawang.
Day 05: Tawang – Bomdila (170 kms / 8 hrs.)

Transfer to Bomdila
Breakfast
After breakfast, transfer to Bomdila (8,200 ft.), the headquarters of West Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh, known for its Buddhist monasteries and cool climate.
Arrival in Bomdila
On arrival, check in to your hotel.
Monastery Visits
Later, visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery, Upper Gonpa, and Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa). Bomdila offers perfectly panoramic views of Himalayan landscapes and snow-clad ranges.
Evening Free
In the evening, you can visit the local market. Stay overnight at Bomdila.
Day 06: Bomdila – Kaziranga (210 kms / 8 hrs.)

Transfer to Kaziranga
Breakfast
After breakfast, transfer to Kaziranga. On arrival, check in to your hotel.
Evening Free
The evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Day 07: Kaziranga National Park

Activities in Kaziranga National Park
Elephant Ride
Take an Elephant Ride to one of the zones of Kaziranga National Park. Apart from the Rhino, species you may see include Hog Deer, Swamp Deer, Wild Buffalo, Elephants, and, if luck favors, even a tiger. The park is also home to pelicans, storks, and darters, thanks to the numerous water bodies within the park.
Return to Resort
After the ride, head back to the resort for breakfast.
Jeep Safari
Enjoy a Jeep safari in the National Park before returning to your hotel.
Night Stay
Night stay at Kaziranga.
Day 08: Kaziranga National Park – Shillong (295 kms / 7 hrs.)
Journey to Shillong
Breakfast and Departure
After breakfast, proceed for Shillong (4,900 ft.), called the “Scotland of the East.”
Enroute Visit: Umium Lake
Enroute, visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills.
Arrival in Shillong
On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel.
Back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 09: Excursion to Cherrapunjee (60 kms / 2 hrs.)

Journey to Cherrapunjee
Breakfast
After early breakfast, drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world.
Nohkalikai Waterfall
You will see the beautiful Nohkalikai Waterfall.
Mawsmai Caves
You can also explore the Mawsmai Caves.
Return to Shillong
In the evening, return to Shillong. En route, visit Elephanta Falls and Shillong Peak for some breathtaking views.
Overnight Stay
Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 10: Hotel – Guwahati Airport / Rly Station

Transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey.
Elephant Safari
The Elephant Safari entirely depends on the sole discretion of the Park Authority based on weather/flood conditions. Even if the park remains open, availability is subject to change.
In case you are fortunate enough to visit for the Elephant Safari at the Central (Kohora) Range, you will need to pay Rs.800 per forest vehicle directly for pick up and drop from the hotel, as outside vehicles are not allowed to go to the riding point due to the no-horn zone.
Inner Line Permit
Special Instruction for Inner Line Permit: An Inner Line Permit is required for entry to Arunachal Pradesh. We require 2 passport size photographs in original along with a Xerox copy of Photo identity proof and Address proof of every person, including children. The ILP office will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday, so we may take at least 10 working days to process your documents.
