HAMPTA PASS TREK
Why Hampta Pass Trek?
Let your wanderlust take you to the foothills of Majestic Himalayas with Hampta Pass trek. This is one of the most picturesque and enchanting treks in the Manali region of Himachal Pradesh. The ideal trek for beginners who have just discovered their love for trekking. This trek will take you to the altitude of 14000 ft and will give you breathtaking views of the Himalayas.
The trek starts from Manali, a beautiful hill station in Himachal Pradesh and will take you to different places in the Himalayas. You start your trek entering Jobra- a lush green valley with thick forest. Your first stop will be Chikka- a beautiful small valley. Walk through colourful flower beds and trail which lie between the mountains. You will trek to a scenic valley- Bhalu ka Ghera. You will find yourself standing in the middle of clouds all around you. Feeling all refreshed start walking along the river to Hampta Pass. The wide snow fields will take your breath away. Take in the beauty of Deo Tibba peak which you will see on the way. You will be astounded to see the views after reaching at the top of Hampta Pass. Pack your bags and get ready to trek to the enchanting Hampta Pass!

Day 01: Delhi - Manali (380 kms/09 Hrs)
Journey to Manali:
Drive to Manali, which is 380 kilometers and takes nearly nine hours. The drive, passing across the pictures of the landscape, charming villages, and winding mountain roads brings a bewildering charm across the terra firma.
Arrive in Manali. Check-in hotel. Take some leisure time, enjoy the weather full of snow, view of falling waterfalls, dinner at the hotel, then take rest for the whole day so that you are geared up to face all such adventures that are going to happen with you ahead in the journey. Overnight at Manali.
Take a trip in an exciting road from Delhi to the very famous Manali hill station which was well known for its pleasing landscape and rich culture of this place.
Day 02: Manali
Exploring Manali:
After a heavy breakfast, you spend the entire day out exploring the very beautiful surroundings. You could look at visiting the famous Hadimba Temple, with peculiar architecture and serene ambiance, or take a tour of the very picturesque Solang Valley that is most famous for adventure activities and breathtaking views.
Evening:
Our trekking guides have planned a briefing session for you in the evening, preparing you for this exciting trip. After the briefing, dine at your hotel. Relax and introspect over the adventures that await you. Night stay in Manali.

You can now spend the day while relaxing in the exciting beauty of Manali.
Day 03: Manali to Chikka (3080m) Distance/Duration - 30km Drive (2 Hours)

Journey to Chikka:
Early breakfast, leaving Manali, taking on the day with a spectacular drive to Chikka at an elevation of 3,080 meters, which is approximately 30 kilometers and two hours away. On the way to Hampta Dam, you will be able to have some good views of lush pine forests and impressive rock faces featuring maple, walnut, and oak trees. Pass through Jobra, Prerni Village, and Hampta Pass Trek area with a beautiful Aleo Nallah stream. Pass over two wooden bridges followed by a small forest patch, leading to the campsite of Chikka. Huge boulders along with a beautiful waterfall describe this place. You set camp here, spending a quiet evening and later resting at Chikka.
Today you trek by getting out of the base camp and heading to the beautiful grand campsite Chikka.
Day 04: Chikka to Balu Ka Ghera (3628m) Distance/Duration - 6km / 5-6 Hours

Trek to Balu Ka Ghera:
Morning trek after early breakfast. You ascend to Chikka (3,628m) and hike around 6 km (about 5-6 Hours) trek to the location of Balu Ka Ghera. Follow the banks of the river to the left and pass through the picturesque and sheltered valley of Jwara. There are several small waterfalls and lush green meadows on the way, accompanied by towering Dhauladhar peaks, which form a wonderful backdrop for your hike. Reach Balu Ka Ghera and camp. You have the rest of the day to rest and acclimatize at this altitude. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the surrounding as you rest and get ready for the next day's adventure. Overnight stay at Balu Ka Ghera.
Today's trek takes you to the beautiful Balu Ka Ghera. It is a flat piece of land amidst majestic mountains.
Day 05: Balu Ka Ghera - Hampta Pass - Balu Ka Ghera Distance/Duration - 8km / 9 Hours

Trek to Hampta Pass:
This is the most difficult day of your trek. So, you will begin early, approximately at 7 AM. After having a good breakfast, you will start trekking the 8 km distance that will take nearly 9 hours in total. Start walking along the river from Balu Ka Ghera for about an hour. As the gradient increases, the trail will take you straight toward Hampta Pass. Soon, you will arrive at the first plateau. Here, the magnificent peak of Deo Tibba will come into view to guide you. The ascent becomes vertical and steep on your way to Hampta Pass, which requires absolute focus and determination. The view from the top, at 4,268 meters, is panoramic, something you'll never forget, but coming down can sometimes be tougher than climbing up, and the snow might make conditions unstable. Continue on the same route and trek back to Balu Ka Ghera and camp there; reflect upon the events of the day. Overnight at Balu Ka Ghera.
The final day of the trek- Hampta Pass is a tough one to scale. You will attempt scaling Hampta Pass today.
Day 06: Balu Ka Ghera - Chikka – Manali: Distance/Duration - 6km Trek (4 Hours), 2 Hours Drive

Trek Completion:
Relish your heavy breakfast at the campsite. Trek for about 4 hours covering approx 6 kilometers towards Chhatru. The trek goes ascending on rocky terrain followed by a soft walk down. On arrival in Chhatru, you will board your own vehicle for a 2 hour drive back to Manali. You can enjoy that time reflecting on your wonderful adventure through the mountains. Now, on arrival in Manali, you can enjoy your overnight stay at an accommodation. Take this as an opportunity to relax and recharge after that adventurous trek, perhaps even a celebratory dinner as you narrate the memorable experiences from the trek.
Today is the last day of your adventurous Hampta Pass trek.
Day 07: Manali – Delhi Departure

Departure:
Hotel check out would be done after early breakfast. Then, you will be taken to experience the actual ride back to Delhi. End your sceneries of nature and finally depart for Delhi. On the last, you will be transferred to the railway station or the airport according to your itinerary. As you close this unforgettable experience, take a moment to relish the incredible experiences and stunning landscapes you have had with you on this journey. Safe travels, and see you again on your next adventure!
As for your last day, it is time for you to say goodbye to the mountains and get back to this bustling city.
