Day 01: Delhi / Srinagar / Mughal Gardens

Arrival in Srinagar

Arrival: Reach Srinagar International Airport, an altitude of 1730 Mts.

  • Meet & Greet: Meet our assistance at the airport & drive by car to Srinagar city (“Sri” means Lakshmi or Wealth & “Nagar” means a city) transfer to hotel.

Afternoon Sightseeing:

  • Mughal Gardens Tour:

    • Nishat Bagh: The “Garden of Pleasure” built by Asif Khan brother-in-law of Jehangir in 1632 AD.
    • Shalimar Bagh: The “Abode of Love” built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan.
    • Chashme Shahi Garden: Known as the “Royal Spring”.

    All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains in the background.

Evening: Return to your reserved Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02: Srinagar – Sonamarg – Srinagar

Arrival in Srinagar

Arrival: On arrival at Srinagar International Airport, situated at an altitude of 1730 Mts. Meet our assistance at the airport & drive by car to Srinagar city (“Sri” means Lakshmi or Wealth & “Nagar” means a city). Transfer to hotel.

Afternoon Sightseeing:

  • Mughal Gardens Tour:

    • Nishat Bagh: The “Garden of Pleasure” built by Asif Khan, brother-in-law of Jehangir, in 1632 AD.
    • Shalimar Bagh: The “Abode of Love” built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan.
    • Chashme Shahi Garden: Known as the “Royal Spring”.

    All these gardens are located along the bank of Dal Lake, with the Zabarwan Mountains providing a scenic backdrop.

Evening: Return to your reserved Hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 03: Srinagar – Pahalgam

  • After breakfast, proceed to Pahalgam, "VALLEY OF SHEPHERDS." Drive through Saffron fields and visit the Awantipura ruins (1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiwarman). Enroute, visit the Mattan Temple, a few kms ahead of Anantnag, where a pond full of holy fishes is believed to be a creation of Lord Shiva. Drive through the pine forest and along Lidder River.

    A total distance of about 96 kms will be covered in about 2 ½ hrs. On arrival at Pahalgam, check in at your reserved hotel. After early check-in, you can enjoy a pony ride through the thick pine forest, enjoy the nature, and walk around the banks of River Lidder. Pahalgam is famous for some trekking routes and is the base camp for AMARNATH PILGRIMAGE.

    You can visit Aru Valley, a village offering a wonderful lifestyle of the people, located 16 kms from Pahalgam by ponies or your own car (at your own cost). You can also visit Chandanwari, 16 kms from Pahalgam by ponies (at your own cost). Additionally, you can visit Betab Valley, 4 kms from Pahalgam by ponies, famous for many Bollywood film shootings. A visit to Baisaran (Mini Switzerland) on ponies (at extra cost) is also recommended; the huge meadows surrounded by thickly wooded forests of pine present a beautiful spectacle.

    In the evening, return to your reserved hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 04: Pahalgam – Gulmarg

  • After early breakfast, drive to Gulmarg, "Meadow of Flowers," located 2730 Mts above sea level (old name: Gaurimarg). The green carpeted meadows offer a pleasant view to tourists. The distance of 156 kms will be covered in about 3 to 4 hrs. Gulmarg is famous for its Ski Resort and the world's highest 18-hole Golf Course, with perfect slopes for golfers. Asia's highest golf course is also a part of the beauty in Gulmarg. One can also view Nanga Parbhat if the weather permits. The view en route from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating.

    On arrival in Gulmarg, check in at your reserved hotel. You can take a Cable Car ride, which is completely computerized and goes up to the highest point in the world at an altitude of 14000 ft. Enjoy breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains while going up to the first phase known as Kongdori (3045 mtrs) or the second phase known as Affarwat (4060 mtrs), a famous ridge that offers adventurous slopes for downhill skiing/snowboarding. A sledge or ski can be hired when the slopes are covered with snow.

    You can have a short trek up to Khilangmarg, which can be covered in about 3 to 4 hrs. In the evening, return to your reserved hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 05: Gulmarg – Shikara Ride

  • After early breakfast, drive to Srinagar and check in at your reserved Houseboat. In the afternoon, join a 1-hour Shikara ride on Dal Lake by a "SHIKARA." Witness floating and vegetable gardens and experience the aquatic life of Srinagar. While returning, visit the local crafts market to see the finely carved handmade articles made from Paper Mache and walnut wood.

    In the evening, return to your houseboat for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 06: Srinagar/Airport

  • Leave after early breakfast for Srinagar and check in to your Houseboat. In the afternoon, join a 1-hour Shikara ride on Dal Lake by a "SHIKARA," witnessing floating and vegetable gardens and experiencing the aquatic life of Srinagar.

    In the evening, while returning to the houseboat, visit the local crafts market to see handmade fine carved articles made of Paper Mache and walnut wood. Return to the houseboat for dinner and overnight stay.
