Joy of city Kolkata with Gangasagar

Day 01: Arrive Kolkata
On arrival at Kolkata airport meet and Greet by our representative and transfer to the hotel. After refresh visit Dakshineswar Kali Temple situated on bank of Hooghly river which is a Hindu Navaratna Architectural Temple. Then move to Belur Math which is a founded by Swami Vivekananda., St. Pauls Cathedral Church, Victoria Memorial Hall then come back to hotel & Overnight stay at Kolkata hotel.
Dakshineswar Kali Temple is a Hindu navaratna temple located at Dakshineswar. Situated on the eastern bank of the Hooghly River, the presiding deity of the temple is Bhavatarini, a form of Parashakti Adya Kali, otherwise known as Adishakti Kalika. The temple was built in 1855 by Rani Rashmoni, a philanthropist and a devotee of Kali. The temple is known for its association with Ramakrishna and Ma Sarada Devi, mystics of 19th Century Bengal.
Belur Math is the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, founded by Swami Vivekananda, the chief disciple of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. It is located on the west bank of Hooghly River, Belur, West Bengal, India and is one of the significant institutions in Kolkata. The temple is the heart of the Ramakrishna movement. It is notable for its architecture that fuses Hindu, Islamic, Buddhist, and Christian art and motifs as a symbol of unity of all religions. In 2003, Belur Math railway station was also inaugurated which is dedicated to Belur Math Temple.
 St. Paul’s Cathedral is a Church of North India (CNI) cathedral of Anglican background in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, noted for its Gothic architecture and dedicated to Paul the Apostle. It is the seat of the Diocese of Calcutta. The cornerstone was laid in 1839; the building was completed in 1847. It is said to be the largest church in Kolkata and the first Anglican cathedral in Asia. It was also the first new-built cathedral in the overseas territory of the British Empire. The edifice stands on Cathedral Road on the “island of attractions” to provide for more space for the growing population of the European community in Calcutta in the 1800s.
The Victoria Memorial is a large marble building in Kolkata, which was built between 1906 and 1921. It is dedicated to the memory of Empress Victoria and is now a museum under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.The memorial lies on the Maidan and is one of the famous monuments of Kolkata.

Day 02: Kolkata-Gangasagar (110 Kms/03 Hrs)
Early morning Visit Kalighat – One of the Shaktipeeth of Kolkata. After breakfast proceed for Gangasagar. Reach at Kakdip (110 kms/ 3hrs Drive) From there take ferry (40 mintues) to reach Kuchberia Ghat. After that take local vehicle to reach Gangasagar to enjoy sunset view. Enroute visit Nagraj Basudevji Temple, Kapil Muni Ashram & Mansa mata devi temple.
Meals: Breakfast, Enroute- Lunch & Dinner
Overnight at Gangasagar Ashram stay.
Day 03: Depart Kolkata

Today bid farewell to your ‘Gangasagar Trip’, Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to international airport to connect flight for onward destination. Meals: Breakfast
Day 04: Day Walk to Nongriat Village to visit the Living Root Bridges

Today morning after breakfast at 08:00 A.M drive to Terla village (20 minutes) from where you will start your walk to Nongriat and will visit the Living Root Bridges in the area (trekking 2 hrs downhill and 2.30 hrs uphill back). You have to walk 3000 steps downhill and uphill to reach these beautiful living root s bridges. Living root bridges are one of the major highlights during the Assam and Meghalaya Cultural, nature and wildlife tour. You will visit a couple of living root bridges in the area and the most famous among all is the Double Decker Living Root Bridge at Nongriat. Walking to Nongriat will take minimum 5-6 hrs both ways as you will stop for various pictures break and will also have lunch in the village. Return back to Cherrapunji by evening. Second night stay at the same hotel in Cherrapunji. Please Note: alternative sightseeing or change of tour plan would be suggested during the time of planning your tour with us, for the people who do not want to do this hike to the Living Root
Day 05: Cherapunji to Shilong via Dawki
