Day 01: Arrive Srinagar

After arrival at Srinagar airport, our representative will take you to Srinagar hotel. After refreshment you will leave for sightseeing of Srinagar starting from ShankarAcharya temple, later on you can visit Mughal Gardens with Nishat Garden, Shalimar Garden, Cheshmasahi Garden, Botanical garden, Pari Mahal. Also, if time allows you can visit the old city of Srinagar & Hazratbal Mosque and many other places nearby Dal Lake. In the evening back to the hotel.

Dal Lake: The Dal is famous not only for its beauty, but for its vibrance, because it sustains within its periphery, a life that is unique anywhere in the world. The houseboat and shikara communities have lived for centuries on the Dal. A Shikara ride is one of the most soothing, relaxing aspects of a holiday in Kashmir. It can be an hour long ride to see the sights of the Dal.

Nishat Bagh: is a terraced Mughal garden built on the eastern side of the Dal Lake, close to Srinagar in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is the second largest Mughal garden in the Kashmir Valley. Shalimar Bagh, which is also located on the bank of the Dal Lake. ‘Nishat Bagh’ is Urdu, and means the “Garden of Joy,” “Garden of Gladness” and “Garden of Delight

Mughal Gardens:
Cheshmashahi is the first Mughal garden. Cheshmashahi has only three terraces in addition to a natural spring of water enclosed in a stone pavilion. Nishat garden built by Empress Nur Jahan’s brother Asaf Khan. Nishat has several terraces, a central water course and a majestic site between the Dal and the Zabarwan hills. It is shaded by magnificent chinar trees. And Shalimar garden is a series of stone pavilions and flowing water with paint-box bleft flower beds.


Shankaracharya Temple:
Atop the hill called Takht-e-Suleiman, a 5 km climb from Nehru Park on a metalled road.

Day 02: Srinagar- Sonmarg-Srinagar (85 Kms/03 Hrs)

Morning after breakfast get fresh and today you will visit Sonmarg. Sonmarg (Meadow of Gold). Sonmarg is absolutely true to its name, which means Meadow of Gold.  

Sonmarg: lies in Sindh Valley streamed with flowers and surrounded by mountains. Sonmarg is also the base for some interesting treks to the high-altitude Himalayan Lakes. Sonmarg is the last stop of Kashmir District. From here starts the territory of Ladakh. Situated at an altitude of 2743 m above sea level. The moment you enter Sonmarg, the first thing that you will notice will be the snow-covered mountain that forms the backdrop of the town. Covered with alpine trees from all sides, Sonmarg has few of the loveliest flower collections in Jammu and Kashmir. Here you can visit Thajiwas Glacier (by pony ride) where snow remains round the year. After completing sightseeing, return back to Srinagar by evening.
