Day 01: Arrive in Jaubhari
We Reach Jaubhari
First Day of Your Trek:
We reach Jaubhari in the evening. Today is the first day of your trek as we are coming together as a team and getting ourselves introduced. The nearest railhead is NJP; the nearest airport is that of Bagdogra; so we are at an approx distance of 5 hours either from the former or from the latter. Night at Jaubhari. This is where we get rest for tomorrow’s trek.
The Beauty of Jaubhari:
The marvelous views and beautiful landscapes in this quiet Himalayan village of Jaubhari have blessed it. It is an entry gate to Singalila Ridge and also famous for its natural beauty. Due to the calm atmosphere, it is considered one of the best places to acclimatize before venturing out on a trek while indulging in the beauty of landscapes and fresh mountain air.
Day 02: Jaubhari to Tumling
Journey to Tumling
Trekking to Tumling:
Today we go to Tumling, which is 10 km from here. The track is moderately steep but there are level parts and other steep ascents, and on the slippery trails after rains, one has to be cautious while walking. We will stop at Chittrey Monastery. From here, the India-Nepal Border starts. Here, India will be on the right and Nepal will be on the left. From Chittrey, we pass through an almost Tibetan Lamaydhura village to Meghma and the SSB check post for ID checking. We would spend our night at Tonglu, just a few hundred meters from Tumling.
The Beauty of Tumling:
Tumling lies on the India-Nepal border, offering tremendous mountain views. There is good diversity here. Sometimes luck favors with a glimpse of the rarely seen Red Panda. Flowers like Chimla and Magnolias add a variety of colors to this magical track.
Day 03: Tumling to Kalipokhri

Kalipokhri Highlights
Kalipokhri is situated on the border of Nepal and India. Kalipokhri Lake is well-known for its still waters. The Trek to Sandakphu
Early start for grand views of snow-clad peaks. Today's trek is quite easy, about 7 km in 4-5 hours. The ascend from Kalipokhri to Bikheybhanjang is a small hamlet popularly known as the "Poisonous Valley" due to the prevalence of aconite plants in the area. The last stretch as one approaches Sandakphu becomes steeper requiring climbing on all fours but that is worth it. You would get panoramic views from Sandakphu, topped with some of the highest mountains in the world, such as Mt. Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, and Lhotse among others, of which your tour guide will tell you stories about in the course of your trek.
The overnight halt will be at Sandakphu, a popular spot for unmatched mountain views. The flora and fauna in the place are rich in variety, making it a paradise for nature lovers and photographers. It is the highest point in West Bengal, offering an unforgettable experience of the Himalayan range, under a star-studded night sky.
Day 05: Sandakphu to Sabargram
-
Trek to Sabargram
Leave for Sabargram very early in the morning. This is one medium trek covering some 15 km and will take about 8 hours. The views along the trek are fantastic, especially in April or May when the rhododendron trees are in full bloom. The bright color of flowers against the majestic Himalayas create a breathtaking sight.
Sabargram is such a place of serenity surrounded by the beautiful lands and sights of the scenic beauty of its surroundings.

You will have endless opportunities for pictures capturing the immense beauty with majestic Kangchenjunga towering in front of you on the left. The trails are beautiful, full of rich flora and fauna, making for a lovely nature walk.
This river crossing represents a point of entry to the state of Sikkim, and therefore a pivotal moment in your trek. Gorkhey is considered scenic and serene, an apt place to camp overnight. Spend the evening listening to campfire stories while admiring endless stars. In a way, this peace represents the best reward for after a day of hiking.
Day 07: Gorkhey to Sepi
-
Trek to Sepi
Gorkhey will be an early wake-up call before further on the trek and going to visit the villages Sammanden and Rammam. This is a beautiful part of visual delight and engaging in local culture. A satisfaction to this part of travelling will come from the vibrant landscape and the villagers too.
